Kate Harris
Registered Dietitian | MS, RDN, LDN
Kate received her undergraduate and graduate degree at Marywood University in Scranton, Pa. She has three years of experience working with adolescents who have needed support recovering from their eating disorder at a PHP/IOP level of care. In addition, within the past year, she has also worked with adults who are battling eating disorders at an outpatient level of care.
Her approach: Kate uses a nonjudgmental and empathetic approach to assist clients in strengthening their relationship with food and their body. She believes eating disorder behaviors serve as a tool to communicate emotional needs. She understands the importance of building rapport with her clients in order to cultivate a safe space they feel truly seen and validated. Through support, validation, and accountability she assists clients in navigating a non-diet, person centered approach to move towards recovery and away from their eating disorder.
Clients she works with: Kate welcomes all ages, genders, and those who identify with the LBTGQ+ community into her practice. She has experience working with a broad range of disordered eating diagnoses, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder.
Her favorite things: Kate loves reading, baking, camping, going for long runs and enjoys live music. Her favorite place is anywhere she can experience slowness and connection with her partner, two sons, and 3 dogs.
